🚚 Our First Food Trailer Event: Bubble Tea, Chaos & A Whole Lot of Lemonade

The food trailer (Something Sourdough Pizza — and Bubble Tea) has been a work in progress for weeks. We bought it used and, well… let’s just say we basically rebuilt half of it. 😅

It’s been a blur of trials, triumphs, and what feels like a hundred trips to Lowe’s. But on Friday, May 23rd, it finally passed inspection — and just like that, we were cleared for our first official event: the Memorial Day Parade on Monday.

The night before? Absolute chaos. We were strapping everything down until 11:30 PM — and we still had dough balls to make!

Parade morning arrived fast. We rolled out early, set up smoothly… then came the wait. Would anyone even show up?

And then — they came.
And didn’t stop for two straight hours.

Endless bubble tea orders. A few pizzas. And a whole lot of:

“Wait — where’s more lemonade?”

Let’s just say:

  • The 1-gallon lemonade container? A tragic underestimation.
  • My mom was sent on an emergency lemonade run (thanks, Mom!)
  • By the end: 8 gallons of tea + 9 gallons of lemonade served!

It was absolutely a family affair — if you got close to the trailer, we put you to work.

And somehow, through the chaos, sweat, and caffeine…
our first day was a success. 🎉

I’m Stacy…

Navigating the middle with caffeine, courage, and a whole lot of “let’s just try it and see.” I built an online boutique (Apparel 212), and now I’m pivoting into food-trailer chaos while paying down debt and figuring out midlife hormones. This is the honest, messy side of reinventing life in my late-40s/50ish years — where the middle isn’t the end… it’s just where the story gets good.
