Wedding Update: We Did It! πŸ’πŸ€

After weeks of planning, baking, decorating, flower picking, and wondering if we would actually get everything done…

They’re married!

And somehow, it all came together.

The cupcakes and wedding cake turned out great. The cookies actually made it to 250 (or at least close enough that I stopped counting πŸ˜‚), and those 800 cream cheese mints were a hit.

The weather couldn’t have been better. It was a beautiful, sunny day, the food was great, everything looked beautiful, and everyone danced the night away.

Well…almost everyone.

Jeff may have enjoyed the wedding slushies a little too much and was passed out before the party really got started. πŸ˜‚

You can’t plan everything.

For a wedding that was very much DIY and involved a whole lot of family, baking, decorating, flower picking, hauling, setting up, and figuring things out as we went, I think we pulled it off pretty well.

But out of everything that happened that day, there is one moment I will never forget.

When it was time for Addison to throw her bouquet, she didn’t throw it.

She dedicated it to me. 🀍

And then she had another surprise.

She chose “When God Made You My Mother” for a dance with me.

I wasn’t prepared for that one.

After all the craziness of this year, all the wedding planning, the baking, the appointments, the worrying, the running from one thing to another and just trying to keep life moving…for a few minutes, none of that mattered.

It was just my daughter and me.

And then, at the end of the dance, Jake joined us.

And this picture happened.

I don’t think there’s a better picture from the entire day.

I’m laughing and crying, Addison is crying, Jake has both of us wrapped up in a hug…and somehow it captured everything I was feeling in that moment.

All the planning.

All the baking.

All the stress.

All the craziness of this year.

And there we were.

My daughter, her new husband, and me.

This one is going in a frame. 🀍

So instead of writing a giant wedding recap, I’m going to let the pictures tell most of the story.

The DIY wedding for 175 people is officially in the books.

The cupcakes are gone.

The mints are gone.

The dance floor is empty.

And my daughter is married.

I’d say it was all worth it. 🀍

With coffee, happy tears & one really perfect picture β˜•πŸ€

I’m Stacy…

Navigating the middle with caffeine, courage, and a whole lot of β€œlet’s just try it and see.” I built an online boutique (Apparel 212), and now I’m pivoting into food-trailer chaos while paying down debt and figuring out midlife hormones. This is the honest, messy side of reinventing life in my late-40s/50ish years β€” where the middle isn’t the end… it’s just where the story gets good.
